Cubesmart, Stamford, Connecticut

This four-story, 88,000 SF, CubeSmart self-storage facility, located in Stamford, Connecticut was constructed in 2019. The development at 405 Shippan Avenue was constructed to contain 906 climate-controlled units and lockers. Site constraints included non-compliant urban fill soils, tidal water table and helical pile foundation system to minimize off-site disposal of hazardous soils.

The Oliver, Charlotte, North Carolina

The Oliver is a 222-unit multifamily community located in Charlotte, NC. The property consists of three 4-story apartment buildings, with luxury amenities including a saltwater pool, gated pet park, fitness center, a community clubhouse, and private gated parking with EV charging stations. Being one block away from the Tom Hunter light rail station, it is the first multi-family project in Charlotte to be designed under the new Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Guidelines. It offered the opportunity to include some affordable housing in the total 221 units to take advantage of a building height increase.

David Martin Apartments, Stamford, Connecticut

The Washington Crossing Apartments consisted of preserving an old Victorian home and converting it to a 3-family home and overseeing newly constructed 20-unit apartment building. This project marked the first of the Housing Development Fund’s Community Land Trust properties that offered 23 affordable, two- and three-bedroom, condo-style homes to Stamford’s South End neighborhood allowing families with household incomes at or under 50% of the area median income to purchase homes.

539 Main St, a 4,100-square-foot luxury, for-sale, single-family home built in 2018. The four-bedroom house included three full bathrooms and a half-bath.

Harral Security Building, Bridgeport, Connecticut

The David Martin Apartments consisted of a 17-unit apartment complex spread across two buildings; a historic, repurposed and preserved Methodist Church and a newly constructed apartment building. This project comprised of nine two-bedroom homes and eight three-bedroom homes and became the city’s first affordable housing development in the Town of Springdale.

This adaptive reuse project was completed in 2018 included the rehabilitation of three vacant historic office buildings in downtown Bridgeport. The property includes 70 multifamily apartments and over 12,000 SF of street facing retail and office space. The project was funded through a combination of historic rehabilitation tax credits, Brownfield programs, private equity and energy fund incentives. The vacant buildings, now known as Harral Security Wheeler (HSW), have been repurposed into retail and commercial space on the lower levels with more than 70 residential units on the upper floors.
